We use an organic cotton that is handwoven / handspun. The natural texture of this fabric is nubby and soft, while durable. Made to last season after season. Each Matilija Kaftan is unique given the nature of the handwoven textile.
 
Two low waistline pockets are on each side of the kaftan. They are lower than one would expect, and creates a sculptural shape on the body. 
 
Part of our Drought Conscious™ collection, this garment comes in a natural cotton and is not dyed. Our handwoven cotton is produced using organic farming methods that reduce water usage, as opposed to traditional cotton farming methods that deplete the soil and strain the Earth's resources. 
 
Pre-washed / pre-shrunk.
